This rock formation was created by a series of rockfalls from the Peña de la Sierra, and today it offers an incredible panoramic view of the Tequendama region, the Peñas Blancas ridge, Santandercito, Mesitas, Anapoima, La Mesa, Tena, and on clear days, the snow-capped peaks of Tolima, Santa Isabel, and Ruiz in the Central Mountain Range.
This area has high concentrations of carbon, which is why the rocks are black. It is also characterized by strong air currents caused by significant temperature changes, and it is not uncommon to see vultures and eagles soaring overhead.

2. Sufre de deficiencias cardiacas o respiratorias, es preferible que no realice recorridos largos, o que se tome el tiempo necesario para hacer pausas en su recorrido y realizarlo con calma.
Lleve ropa comoda
3. Utilice ropa cómoda y holgada. Absténgase de utilizar jeans, ya que en caso de lluvia, estos se pegan al cuerpo y se dificulta caminar. Utilice ropa abrigada, más no excesiva y zapatos cómodos con suela de agarre.
